Andy, After I posted my own message regarding my GGG grandparents I started reading the other postings and I found yours very interesting for several reasons. First in reviewing my family information on Philomene Ploude (Plourde)(married to Jean Baptiste LaFond) I realized that I showed her father as Jean Baptiste Plourde and her mother as Julie Goulet. So do you know the name of your grandfathers mother? Another interesting fact is that my GGG grandparents lived in Whitehall, NY (they were also married in Whitehall) and most of their children were born there. My information shows that Philomene was born in St Hyacenthe, Canada.

Then as I continued to read your posting I found more interesting information which also may or may not be connected. I was born and raised in Cohoes as was my father. His name is Francis Bouchard, but when he was two his mother died and he and his father moved into the home of Marcel and Eugene LaJeunesse. They raised my father while his bio dad worked and when my grandfather remarried my dad was about 12 and he decided to stay in the home of the LaJeunesse's so I was raised with them being my grandparents. Now I don't know anything about Marcel LaJeunesse's family, as I child I don't remember meeting any of them but I have made a connection through another part of my family research with a cousin of his Theodore (Thaddee) LaJeunesse. My Pipere never talked about his famiy but I did think that he and my mimere were from Canada. Having been raised in Cohoes I can tell you that there were a lot of LaJeunesse families there. Now what I'm going to do is ask my dad and another family friend (who has a great memory) and was also raised in Cohoes if they knew any Ploude's that lived in Cohoes. Maybe we will get lucky and I'll be able to help you. Hope that you are able to make a connection to my GGG Grandmother Philomene. By the way if she is related to your family I have a picture of her that I can email to you, maybe she will look familiar. Regards, Diane Broomfield
