JONATHAN PLOTT (1/8/1805-7/7/1886) and ELIZABETH CLEMENTINE HARMON (7/16/1818-11/11/1889) were married 6/2/1835 in Haywood County, NC.

Elizabeth C. Harmon was the daughter of Anthony Harmon and Lucretia Wells ( who was the daughter of Newnam Wells and Rebecca Edwards).

Jonathan Plott was the son of Henry Plott and Lydia Osborne.

Don't know of an adopted child for Jonathan and Elizabeth Harmon Plott, but the children listed for them in census records are (1) Adeline Lucretia ("Addie") Plott (b. 1841) - who married James Leonidus Welch - and (2) Pingree Presley Plott (b. 1845) - who married Charity Haseltine Osborne.
