My grandfather was Kurt Erich Bruno Plewe from Danzig, Germany (now Gdansk, Poland). He was born in 1892 and emigrated through Ellis Island to Delavan, WI when he was 18 years old. On the ship manifesto, it said he was from Steglik, Germany. His father's name was Karl, I believe. Kurt's brother also came to Delavan--his name may have been Walter, but I'm not sure about that. Kurt's brother did have a son named Walter. They came to Delavan to live with their aunt and uncle who's last name was Phillips. If anyone has any information about the Plewe's, I'd be so greatful. My grandfather died long before I was born and my father is also dead, so don't really have anyone to ask about this.
