PLEW 1836 INDIANA and ILLINOIS
Posted by: Nancy Lewis Date: March 16, 1999 at 22:34:56

I have marriage of Sophia Plew to Thomas
Washburn in Knox Co. Ind 5-03-1832 - they
evidently moved to Fulton Co. Ill and then
back to Knox Co. (census 1840 Ill and
1860 Ind). Would like to know more about this PLEW or Plough or Plugh origin or talk
to Washburn or Plew folks.
There were at least 7 children 5 boys and
2 girls (Polly and Martha). James, Edward,
William, Edward, Martha, Madison and Abner.

Could be that Sophia Plew named her 1st son
after her brother and/or father James Plew.
