Hi Beryl,
Have had no success tracking down my WEELDON,WHILDEN,WEEDEN,et al, African/Native ancestors; I suspect that many of them chose to pass for white, so shall
be lost forever.
My ggrandmother, CHARATA BROWN, 1833 NC? was Native American, and I am still w/o any knowledge of her.
Somehow, the BRANUM/BRANNON surname is connected, but after
12yrs of posting w/o responses, I am terribly discouraged.
Would love to hear more of your family and to see the pic.
