Thanks for responding Tommye.I am seeking two things from the Plaster line right now.The first is any information of the 1896 trial of Henry Franklin Plaster for shooting one of the Harrison men in Bedias.I know the family lore but I am looking for newspaper articles or anything published on the incident. The Grimes County courthouse has been horrible about assisting and I don't have the time to drive up there during the week when they are open.In the book, "The Saga of Anderson" there is one paragraph on the topic by one of H.F. Plaster's defending lawyers (defense team was father and son Buffington's).Very colorful trial and I understand that armed men representing each side of the case lined the streets anxiously awaiting the verdict.
The second information I am looking for is any interesting information about Henry Franklin Plaster's Confederate Service or anything else interesting about his life.I have a copy of his Confederate Service Records.Although, very basic, even these records are very interesting in that he served in Texas in 1861 (getting married before during his 1 week furlough before re-upping) and in Virginia and Tennessee for the remainder of the War in Hood's Texas Brigade, eventually surrendering with Lee at Appomattox. It makes for very enjoyable family history.Let me know if you have anything along these lines. Also let me know if you need anything.
