I would be very skeptical of anyone claiming a descent from anyone else, except close relatives, by quoting the results of a genetic test. No genetic test is specific enough to be able to delineate anything but a broad spectrum possible genetic heritage. Given the way genetic material is passed down through the generations, you could never tell where a specific genetic marker came from...not unless you had genetic materials to sample from, that came from those people you were claiming descent from. I would doubt that they'll be digging up Geoffrey Plantagenet, Henry II or anyone else of their ilk anytime soon.
You'd be much better off dealing with the resources that you already have to trace out your family history, than expecting any miracle from genetics.
