I have documented my descent from the following Plantagenets:
King Henry I is my 27th great-grandfather
King Henry II is my 26th great-grandfather
King John "Lackland" is my 25th great-grandfather
King Henry III is my 24rd great-grandfather
King Edward I is my 23rd great-grandfather
King Edward II is my 22nd great-grandfather
King Edward III is my 21st great-grandfather
Prince John "Of Gaunt" is my 20th great-grandfather
Prince Edmund "of Langley" is my 20th great-grandfather
These lines are proven through the research of Genealogist Gary Boyd Roberts. I was tracing the Royal lineages of American President F.D. Roosevelt and saw the proven line from Edward Southworth and Alice Carpenter. Edward Southworth is my 11th great-grandfather (he is the 8th great grandson of King Edward III). An interesting side note is the fact that after the death of Edward Southworth, Alice Carpenter married the Widower, William Bradford of Plymouth Plantation. Primarily from this book of Gary Boyd Roberts, I discovered that I am related to 17 US presidents.
Also the Maria Juana De-Padilla line is proven to have arrived to America through John Whitney (my 10th great grandfather). Her daughter, Isabel Princess of Castile married Edmund "of Langley" son of King Edward III.
I also have another line that is considered by the majority of Genealogists to be true, but not proven, through Richard Baildon son of Sir Francis Baildon. Richard Baildon is the 7th great grandson of King Edward III, he is my 10th great grandfather.
As a side note: I am also descended from 5 Mayflower (1620) passengers, and many early 1600's immigrants.
All of these ancestors are through one of my grandmothers, Nina Clemens Gunn.
