I did find 1850 Tyrone Twp., Adams Co., PA (852/935) - Nicholas Guise 65 Farmer Pa, Polly 64 Pa, Nicholas 29 Laborer Pa, Hannah 31 Pa, Hetty 27 Pa Also Upper Bermudian Cemetery Huntington twp., Adams Co.: Nicholas Guise Ja 27 1785 - N 7 1873 88-9-11 ; Mary Magdalene (wife of Nicholas) d.My 11 1855 69-2-15 What leads you to believe her maiden name was Plank? I can see that you might place her in the family of Conrad Plank but there are estate documents that list the children of Conrad and both Polly Guise and Mary Knouse are in the 1850 census with their husbands. Kathy Doto is a long time researcher of the Conrad Plank family and her work is well documented. I did find an Orphans Court record that indicates Nicholas may be the son of Adam Guise Menallen Twp. You may email me directly if you wish. Sharon
