I was looking through the Illinois state archives and found some land purchases by Jacob C.Plank in Sangamon, and Menard. I also found land purchases for Jacob C. Planck in Menard and Woodford. The records also show that my great grandfather Joseph Planck purchased land in Woodford County in 1836. So Joseph and Jacob could very well be related. Joseph listed his residence in Tazewell. But some of his children were born in Dearborn County, Indiana 1837-1839.
