I am looking for any information on the Pitner's of East Tennessee. The earliest ancestor I can trace back to is james M. Pitner b. 1841. He married a Ellen Thomas. My g-grandfather William was there son. It is believed that James' mohter was BECCA Pitner and James was born out of wedlock. Would yu have any info? Could there be a connection to our families?
