Hi Keith - I have some information on a Pitner family in Tenn and am looking to find more. It's possible that Becca Ann Pitner was a sister to James below? I don't have any info on James parents or siblings. Here is what I have:
James Pitner, born 3/19/1808 in Tenn, died 4/22/1895 in Lumpkin Coungy, GA. Married Asenath E. Williams, born 5/13/1808, died 1/15/1877 in Lumpkin County, GA. Headstones for both of these people are on findagrave.com. Their children were 1. Demarius Pitner, born 1828, 2. Nancy Pitner, born 1832, 3. Marion E. Pitner, born 1834, 4. Sarah Ann Carroll 1837-1912, 5. Martha Amanda Watts, born 11/23/1838 (my ancestor), 6. Elijah S Pitner (1842-1917), 7. Julia Lila/Letty Ann Watts, born 1845, 8.Adam, born 1847, 9.Twins Tryphenia Lance and Bethena Raborn, born 1849. There is a great photo of the twins online, and more information about them. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~galumpki/photos/people/PitnerTwins.htm
