Hi Barry, I haven't been to this site in several years. Major T. H. Pitner was the son of my G-G-G-aunt, Sarah McGaughy, b.in 1801. He was the host of a birthday party in 1877 for my G-grandfather and his family. I have a copy of the newspaper article from the Varnell newspaper about that party. I have a bunch of his ancestors in my geneology research.
