Warren County, North Carolina Heritage Vol. 1, 2002, lists the following information on page 248, article number 749 about Burwell Pitchford.

His father was Samuel Pitchford, Jr. b 1735 in Virginia, died 1802 in Warren County, North Carolina. Samuel, Jr. was first married to Elizabeth Bevels and second to Eleanor Hall. There were 6 children by Elizabeth Bevels: Sterling, Jesse, Elijah, Thomas, Burwell and Elizabeth. There was one daughter by Eleanor Hall: Rhody who married John Paschall, son of Thomas Paschall. The article states that Burwell never married. This article also states that Samuel Pitchford, Jr. was the son of Samuel Pitchford, Sr. and Angelica Cheatham.

However there is another article in the same book which shows that Samuel Pitchford, Jr.'s wives were Angelica Cheatham and Eleanor Hall and that Samuel Jr's mother was Amy Bevills.

There are names and addresses in the book of the researchers who wrote those articles if you are interested in contacting them directly.

I am descended from Samuel Pitchford, Jr.'s brother, William Thomas Pitchford.
