Nancy--I talked to my mom and she is going to try to find the deed to the house (not sure if she still has it) If she can't find it it is easy to get a copy and trace the ownership. You'd have to go through the county records at the Jersey City Courthouse though. Sometime the records (or some of them) are online. My mom says that the person my father sold the house to was a woman in her 30's so Ruth sounds like she was around the right age at the time. The deed would have alot of info that you are looking for and from there you could probably get Alice's obit from the Hudson Dispatch or Jersey Journal and funeral records from the funeral home. That would also give info as far as where the rest of the family was. I will email the photos later in the day.
