blackfoot/mohawk pitchers in NY

At one point in time my grandfather used to talk about how his grandmother was born near a place called DRY HILL in the mountains of NY. He said that she was a full blood indian princess of Blackfoot and Mohawk descent, that her father once owned all the land from the St. Lawrence into PA.

Henry Pitcher (born early 1800) and his wife Anna had two sons, Gabriel and Walden Pitcher. Gab settled near Adams NY. Walden (settled near watertown) had one daughter Roxy Pitcher. Roxy pitcher married Frank Lane.

does anyone have any information on any of these people?
Can anyone verify that blackfoot tribes were on NY land in the early 1800?

thank you
rose
