Earnest Pitcher MM Killed in Action 1914
Posted by: Joanne Trumper Date: November 29, 2001 at 06:01:31

My great grandfather was Earnest Pitcher from Radnage, Buckinghamshire England. My grandfather Percy Pitcher is still alive but in his 80's and is fading very quickly. We have just found out that Earnest won the Military Medal in Flanders Fields, France in the first World War and was killed in action on 9th April 1914. All we know is that his mother was Caroline Pitcher and that they lived in Pitchers Cottage in Bennet End Buckinghamshire. Any help on more info would be eagerly awaited by my Grandfather Percy who never saw his Dad as Earnest was killed when he was a few months old. Please help us if you can as this will make an old gent very happy in his final days.

Joanne
