Hi Cathie,
George Pitcher was the son of Peter Pitcher, Jr. who lived in Knox, NY. He married Maria Lampman October 26, 1837 and they had four children, Rachel, Almira, Amos and Silas. He married second Sophia Hane who was the widow of his younger brother, James. (My great-grandfather was their only son, also named James born October 11, 1845.) Sophia and George had seven more children, Minor, Sophronia, Susie, Arthur, Zadoc, DeWitt, and Clara. Is this the family you’re looking for?
              Phyllis
