Margaret Pirie

Looking for information on the family of Margaret Pirie, (ca.1720-1790), married to George Fullerton in 1739 with banns posted in Dun Parish and Dunnichen Parish, Angus, Scotland. Presumably she came from Dunnichen and he from Dun where they lived for the next 20 years as tenants of the home farm for the House of Dun (now a National Trust of Scotland property.) There was one other Pirie in Dun Parish but no other apparent connection. In 1759 they relocated to Benholme Parish in Kincardine. He died ca.1780 and she after 1790. Lots of descendents, the largest known group being those in Canada and the US through their last son, James Strachan Fullerton of Nova Scotia. Note: Pirie is a common name in Aberdeen and other northeastern Scotland but not in Angus.
