Thanks for the additional info. I continue to try and confirm who his parents and family were/are. I emailed Douglas Greene who was in charge of the recreation event with the Glamor Gal, but I have not heard back from him yet.
I read somewhere that Joe Pipes may have been killed in the war sometime after Iwo Jima but that is not confirmed.
I have seen the film on youtube, thought it was interesting that it was produced at all.
