I never did find out anything more from Sgt Pipes other than I found a Social Security death index listing for a Joseph L Pipes. I believe it was 1989. The Glamour Gal has been rebuilt. My email address is angeliab1964 @ yahoo.com I have photos of the howitzer online. There is going to be a display board at the museum housing the re-made Glamour Gal and the display board will feature any info about the crew (unfortunately only two are still alive) but a son of one of the other members was located.

There is a USMC propaganda film called Glamour Gal and all 10 Marines and the original howitzer are in it. The remade one looks very much like the old one. The film is on youtube just type in Glamour Gal and it is Part I that will show all 10 crew members.
