I thought it incredibily interesting that you posted this query, because I came to this site to post the exact same thing!
I also have several photographs of Jerry Keith Pipes as a child and I don't know who he is other than this:
I have 5 photographs total. On the back of one, my grandmother has written:
"Jerry Keith Pipes, Hillsboro, Iowa, son of girl I was in hospital with at Kirksville, Mo."
My grandmother was Edna (Cowan) Turner from Uniontown, Kansas. She had very bad arthritis from childhood on, and that may have been why she was in the hospital.
Since Jerry and Gary are not relatives of mine, anyone who is related to this family may respond to this message and I'll gladly put these photos in an envelope and mail them to you. They were taken about 1942-1945.
