From what I have been told it was Albert PIPES that was the boxer. Don't know what this means, was he a pro boxer or played around with it? Don't know if he ever married etc.
Gertrude PIPES married James "Grass" PAPPAS. I remember meeting him when Barbara PIPES Mitchell died. He told us about his book making deals when he was younger. I meet Jimmy PAPPAS a couple years ago when we went to R I for Albert PIPES (my father-in-law) to get his fifty year Masonic pin. Jimmy took us to the big casino in Conn. I think Jimmy PAPPAS had two daughters. He was living with one of his daughters when he died. I think I have his obit on the PIPES web site. We stopped by to see Ernie PIPES (son of Ernie Sr.) when we were in RI that same time. Bea PIPES RILEY came to my father in laws pinning. She was Ernie Jr. sister.
If you can scan me a few pictures of Robert and family I would love to have them.
