Tammy , I have tried several times to e-mail U and it won't go thru as tamhbrih@aol,com,says it is NOT AUTHORIZED ,so I will do it this way .Morgan David PIPER is my GGrandfather on the maternal side of my family. He married Catherine C . SPRINKLE of Rockingham Cty., in same cty.on 25 Feb 1864 by Rev Jacob Miller. (verif by Genweb). I cannot find their marriagge license so far which would list the info I'm seeking !!!!The names/locat of HIS parents , and his actual birthdate !!! As you are aware , the PIPER clan could be Irish/Scottish/English/ German ancestry ( I'm beginning to lean towards the German background and the fact they were some times refered to as PIFER , even in Linville where they lived/died , Linville cemetery, sec 2, row 29 . He was born abt 1839 - 10 July 1876 (at Linville) , verif by the CSA widows pension application .I have the info on his decendants if U need any . Sorry I wan"t home to get your e-mail as I was out of town first part of this weekend celebrating my 75th birthday . For as old as I am I'm still a novice at genealogy / how to get around the sites !!!Thanks for any help U may be able to give me . Dave T.PS I have his CSA records. I did call Harrisonburg ,but not sure I had the rigth phone #/area to access th actual marriage records/ancestry.com (at local library), several people who are into genealogy big time with verified info as well.
