Hello Philomena,
I am excited receiving your reply. Its always good to get some answers of the distant ancestors -- and this has the possibility of a real break for me. I hope it is for you also.
All I have verification of is thru Juan Vas Pinto. The information about his Father's name and his birth place is taken from his Naturalization Papers in Baltimore, 1824. They don't list any brothers or any relatives other than his Father -Anthony Vas Pinto. It does show his birth in Oporto, Portugal {Jan. 14, 1797} -- and that his father was born in Lisbon.--------- There is no other family known.
You list Francis Pinto { Painter} as his possible brother. That is great if we can prove it-- I have absolutely no knowledge of it. Its really a family mystery I have heard all my life.

My address is : pintowv@gvtc.com
Please contact me there and we can begin 'real ' correspondence.

Yes , I will furnish to you all the Pinto Info I have . It , of course , begins with Juan Vas to present.I am the sixth generation counting his. I have have complete records for my line { his first wife}: and good records for the dec. of his second wife's children, etc.
I look forward to your reply and information.
sincerely, Bill Pinto
