my ancestor Humphrey Pinney was born about September 1598 in Hardington-Manderville, Sommerset and emegrated to US and started the whole Pinney clan in the US.
His Brother John Pynney born ca1594 burried 08jan1638/38
had a son John 23jan1624 born St Petrock, Exeter, Devon
Humphrey's Father was John "The elder" Pinney 1551/1632 Broadway Somerset, England,
I hope this helps in some way... there are so many John's in the family.... I stopped in Hardington-Manderville on my way back to Gatwick a yr ago, visiting Sidbury where my other (Thomas Clapp) ancestor left in 1633
