One for the English Pinnells!!

I am tracing my branch but have a problem at the start! My Grandfather Frank Edward Pinnell was born 02 Jan 1873 Wotton Under Edge Gloucester. He married Lucy Jane Brown from Cheltenham on 02 Jan (how romantic - his birthday!), 1899. He was shown as a policeman on his marriage cert.
She died 1918ish, leaving poor old Frank with 7 children. My father went to an orphanage and the others survived in service, military or domestic. Trouble is.....Frank dissapears. He wasn't on the 1901 census. After Lucy died i have no idea where he went. An aunt seems to think he moved away to the midlands and she remembers a child with him. So he could have remarried somewhere.
Does anyone have any clues? Tips?

Interesting as most on here seem to be American, but when and where did they all go over?

Greetings to all the Pinnells everywhere....

Malcolm
