John W. Pinkston

In 2006 I posted this and am wondering if anyone has yet seen anything on the subject:
In researching my Rowden family I found a connection to the Pinkston family. I saw one posting where it stated that John Pinkston was one of five Pinkston brothers, four of whom, including John, were killed in a range war in Bell Co, TX around 1873. The one surviving brother was sent to Leavenworth for his part in the killings in that war. "Lena" (Paulina or Perlina) was pregnant with Johnnie at that time. Johnnie kept the Pinkston name when her mother remarried. Does anyone have any info on this?

Thank you,
Hazel
