Janis,
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I have just had a chance to check the message board today. Here is the information I have. I hope it is helpful:

1860 cenus: District 2, Daviess, KY

Lafayette Riggs aged 34
Sarah T. Riggs aged 23
Amanda J. Riggs aged 2
George W. Riggs aged 4.12 months

Other Records: Lafayette Riggs born September 1827 / maried December 9th, 1854 and Died November 22, 1908. Parents are Joseph Riggs and Elizabeth Lucy Dickens. Second marriage to Mary Frances Pinkston.

Hardin Pinkston (father of Sarah and Mary)was a chair maker who was born in South Carolina about 1803 and moved to Kentucky with his family. In addition to his wife Polly, and his daughters Sarah and Mary, his other chidlren were Martha, Joseph, Amanda and Jackson.

Lafayette Riggs is the son of Joseph Riggs and Lucy Dicken (s), who were from Accomack, VA;Joseph Riggs (1794) is the son of William Riggs and Ann Stayton (Accomack, VA); William Riggs (1755) is the son of Abraham Riggs and Mary MComb Britt (or Brett)/Hinman (Accomack, VA); Abraham Riggs (1725) is the son of Joseph Riggs and Naomi McComb (Accomack, VA); Joseph Riggs(1700) is the son of Abrham and Rosanna Riggs (Accomack, VA). Abraham (1674)was an orphan who came to VA from England (not sure which part) with his brother, Isaac. Abraham was 13 and Isaac was 15. They worked as indentured servants to different masters and were freed at age 21. Abraham was bound to Edward Kellum of Accomack County, VA.

I also have genealogy for the following wives: Naomi McComb, Ann Stayton, and Lucy Dicken(s)(noble lines)as well as little pieces of info. on the Riggs line.

If you do have the picture and could send a copy, that would be wonderful. My address is: Kathleen Brunelle / 51 Huttleston Avenue / Fairhaven, MA 02719.

Thank you very much and please let me know if you have any corrections of my information.

Kathy
