Sandy,
John W. Pinkerton and Mary E. Pyle are my great, great,
great grandparents. They were married on November 27, 1861.
They also had a son, William Pinkerton, my great, great grandfather.
John W. Pinkerton m. Mary E. Pyle
son William Pinkerton m. Mary Green
son Charles Pinkerton m. Ida Iola Ford
daughter Florence Gwyn Mawr Pinkerton m.Raymond Vanderslice
daughter Anna Mae Vanderslice m. Joseph H. Baker
son Michael J. Baker m. Yvette M. Rippee
and we have 2 sons.
I also have info on the Pyle family going back to the
late 1500's in Bishop's Cannings, Wiltshire, England. The
Pyles and Pinkertons were Quakers. The Pyles came to Penn-
sylvania in 1683 with William Penn. The Pinkertons were pre-
valent in the Chester, PA area. I was born in West Chester,
PA, and grew up in Kennett Square, PA.
I will get a printout from my Family Tree Maker with
data I have to send you. Am looking forward to hearing from
you.
