David Thomas Gage m. Martha Pinion 12/24/1844 in Gibson Co. Tn.. Their daughter Tennessee Charlotta Gage was born in 1848. The family is listed in the 1850 Gibson Co census [14th district]
My mother, who was Tennessee's daughter, always maintained that her great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee Indian. Where she got this information I don't know, since her mother died when Mom was very young. Does anyone have any knowledge of this family?
Thank You
Faye
PS. MARTHA PINION was born in 1830 in Carroll Co Tenn. She is supposedly buried in Carroll Co.
