We recently have pinpointed subject Wm Pinfold of Middleton Cheney. I have:
"1846 at the Parish church of Bradden, in the county of Northampton, England
Marriage Record, July 16th 1846
William Pinfold of full age, bachelor, servant, Shutlanger, Richard Pinfold (father), laborer;
Ann Ward, nineteen years, spinster, lacemaker, Bradden (Northants), Thomas Ward (father), laborer
William signed, Ann made her mark. Witnesses were John Pinfold and Mary Ward.
Shutlanger is a nearby Parish."
The above record was found by Ms Nancy Ward of Syracuse, NY.
The 1881 British Census shows this family with Ann Pinfold
being born in 'Braddon', which appears to be a small typo.
Ann Ward was a sister of William Ward, my g-g-grandfather,
who emigrated with wife Mary Ann Blackwell to New York State in 1851-52. Nancy Ward holds the original of the Pinfold family photo, but I have a scan of it. In view of the new info, I would revise the date of this photo to ca. 1855.
Cheers from the land of Oz.
