My father was born in Piner, ky kenton co. in 1914. His father was William Howard and his grandfather was William Piner and I do not know where he was born. The town was named after my forefathers i am told the person it was named after was the postmaster. I have also been told that the Piner's came from North Carlina, but I do not know if any of this is true.
