Hi again. Yes, George Washington MADDOX was a brother in law of David Piner. George Maddox never married. He died June 10, 1912 Bonham, Fannin Co., TX. I have an interesting story regarding George if you are interested.

You refer to a "story" regarding David Piner and Mary Ann Maddox returning to MO. I would be interested in this story as I have no such data. Where did you run across it?
I've never found any reference to David Piner after the 1850 census.
