For what it's worth, here is the info I have on my family -
Wm. Piner's father was John E. Piner, born 1810 in NC
John E. Piner's father was Thomas Piner, Jr. born c.1774, probably in VA as he was living there in 1790 with his mother (in Culpeper County)
Thomas Jr's father was Thomas Piner, Sr who arrived in VA 1746 (from where??) and settled in Culpeper Co. Died in 1776. (Will dated 4/17/76 in that county)
