Alma H. (Pineo) McCullough, dau. of Hollis Edwin & Jessie Pineo, Saskatchewan
Alma H. Pineo was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, 21 July 1909, to Hollis Edwin Pineo and Jessie E. (Tupper) Pineo. She had two brothers, Frank F. Pineo and Robb Monroe Pineo. [Note: The 1916 Canadian Census shows her middle initial as "H." Other references show her middle initial as "P," which would be a reference for her maiden name of Pineo. This type of change in middle initial was sometimes done by women when they got married. They often used their maiden name as their middle name.]
The family is found in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, on the Canadian Census records for 1916 and 1921.
On 12 March 1923, Hollis, Jessie and their 3 chldren, crossed the Canadian border at Kingsgate, Alberta, to Eastport, Idaho, via the Canadian Pacific Railway. Hollis listed that their destination was the address of his brother-in-law, Frank Tupper, in Pasadena, California. Hollis listed his father, Geo. R. Pineo, as his nearest relative in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Five months later, in October 1923, the family left Eastport, Idaho, for Seattle, Washington. [The bottom of the ledger page referenced the Canadian Pacific Railway.] Their final destination was again listed as Pasadena, California. On 6 February 1924, the Declaration of Intention was issued for Hollis Edwin Pineo, from the District Court, in Los Angeles, California. He was living in Pasadena, California, and said his wife, Jessie T., was living with him.
The 1930 US Census, showed the family had moved north and was living in Spokane, Spokane County, Washington. The census shows Hollis E. and Jessie T. Pineo, with their 20 year old daughter, Alma, and their 16 year old son, Munro. Hollis was still in the lumber industry.
Alma's obituary said she married Dr. William F. McCullough in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on 13 September 1931.
The 1940 Census, for Seattle, King County, Washington, shows William and Alma McCullough with their two children, Elizabeth A., and William R. [Alma's husband's occupation was listed as Pharmacist. They were listed with their surname spelled McCullogh.]
Alma died at her home, in Portland, Oregon, on 3 January 1994, at the age of 84. She was entombed in the Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum. [Her husband had passed away in 1978.]
Her obituary listed her survivors as: children, Elizabeth A., and William R.; a brother, Robb M. Pineo; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

I'm not a family member, but just found Alma's crypt in the mausoleum at Lincoln Memorial Park, took the photo, and researched enough information on her to create the memorial page and add a biography based on what I found.
