Hi Pilson Family Members
It has taken me many years to find my ggrandfather Irish birth place.
I found a letter dated 1913 in local Pa paper.
It was address to Richard Pilson 1850 to 1923 who came to Phila Pa in 1868 work as bartender for two year
enlisted in US MArines from 1871 to 1873...have records
married Mary A Hanlon from Cheekpoint faithlegg parish
Co Waterford. had 12 kids etc
Robert Pilson 1855 to 1915? from Co. Wicklow finally found his brother after 40 years.
Bob Pilson age 56 male General Laborer and wife Elizabeth
Pilson 1855 to 1918 and Christina age 16 daughter with Patrick Sharkey 20 male nephew
The family was living at 20.3 in Trrone St Upper {North Dock} Dublin per 1911 Irish census
The letter mention Richard left his parents alive and five brothers in 1868 for America.
I am looking for exact birthplace of Pilson's in Co. Wicklow. I have my doubts is they were land owners.
I am interested in any other Pilsons connection to our line.
Richard was Presbyterian who married a Catholic and converted to Catholic religion onhis death bed? per family lore
All kids were raised Catholics.
I have more data on Pilsons line and would like to share with others.
Frank Pilson
