Greetings again,
I actually have no connection whatsoever to this family I just like to help out from time to time.
Most of my lines are of Acadian origin but we are now settled in Quebec. Some of my major surnames are Theriault, Leger, Gallant Hache on the paternal side and Lagace, Doucet, Luce on the maternal side.
You are right that it is a challenge to do Quebec research, also because when searching through databases the names are sometimes written with accents.And if you are researching from the U.S. and unfamiliar with the names it can be very difficult.
I actually live about twenty minutes from Beauharnois.
