What was your ggrandfather's name? I am researching my husband's Pilkington line. His ggrandfather, Michael Pilkington came from Ireland to New York about 1926. He was the seventh son of 12 total children. His older siblings Jack, and Mary Frances Pilkington both came over to America before him. Any connection? Yours is the only reference I have seen to the Irish line of Pilkingtons/Pelkingtons. My husbands uncle has comfirmed there has been spelling errors common to his family name, so I would consider researching the Pilkington name more thoroughly. I have a sheet of Pilkington Pedigrees and some information on the Pilkington line from both Ireland and England, if you are interested.
