Last week in Annapolis, Maryland I purchased a red and green applique quilt with the name Ann Pilkington and the date of 1847 on it. Does anyone know anything about an Ann Pilkington in the mid 19th century. If she was the maker of the quilt, I would guess she was born sometime before 1830. Any info would be appreciated.
