I am also trying to track down a Sarah Pilkington from Lancashire. I think mine is a separate person so I'll make a post about that shortly. (I am interested in candidates 9 & 10)
Have you been through the Latter Day Saints database for your Sarah - www.familysearch.org ? There are three Sarahs that match your birth year -two of those from Lancashire. You are probably going to have the same problem that I have - how to separate the possible candidates given that they were born before civil records started in ernest in 1837. Below is the list of Sarah's from around that time - hope it helps.
