Looking for ANY info whatsoever about a Bryant Morton who was Supposedly "of Plymouth, MA" (according to George Gilkey's book on the Gilkey family).
Bryant Morton came to Gorham, Cumberland Co.,Maine in the early 1700's and may have married (I've not seen documentation to support this myself), a Thankful PARKER. Bryant and wife had Several children (10 from what I have been told), and the son's names are Thomas (the first son), Joseph, Ebenezer, Bryant, Jr., Elisha, Jabez, and Phineas.
Because of the names Thomas, Ebenezer and Elisha, my over zealousness would like to place Bryant as a descendant of George 1 Morton who sailed to Plymouth on board the ship "Anne" in 1623 and started a whole line of little Morton's. But because no one can seem to find any proof of Bryant's birth or his connections to any of the Plymouth Morton's or any other Morton's for that matter (that I've seen so far anyway), I am at a loss here.
If Anyone has come acrossed a Long LOST record on Bryant Morton, I would be Most happy to hear about it.
Any help, suggestions, or just comments about this subject welcomed. Thank You.
