The DNA project is at least suggestive of the possible relationship, and my guess would also be a connection back sometime before 1600. I ask because I've recently met another Pyle/Pile researcher who is descended from the Quaker group. I'm descended from Samuel Pile (b.1795) and Winnie Ellison through their first son, Benjamin Pile (b.1821). He was one of my great-great grandfather's on my mother's side. I live, by the way, in Baltimore, so if there is anything I can help with over here, please ask.
