Brett, I have not been following the Pile DNA project like I should. It seems most interesting, but rather sporadic. On the Quaker Pyle family from Delaware and Pennsylvania, I am related to the Weathers/Withers that were intermarried into the Pyle families in Wiltshire, England. My ancestor Thomas Withers was one of the early Quaker arrivals in Pa. with the Pyles. I have read that another ancestor Henry VanMeter who married Elizabeth Sprigg Pile (widow of Richard) was also married to two Pyle sisters from the Quaker Pyle family. The Pyle family most likely connects back before 1600 in Somerset or Wiltshire England. I am purchasing the parish registers for Overton in Hampshire on microfiche. I hope that when I get them they are readable.
