My grandfather, Joseph Howard Pile, was Lillian's brother. He was born in Mansfield, Hamilton County, OH 12-29-1887 and died in Gradyville, Delaware County, Pa 5-18-1956. Lillian was born in Phila, Pa 10-26-1893 and died in Cape May, NJ in 1973. They had a younger sister Dorthea Reynolds Pile who was born in Phila, Pa 2-17-1896 and died in Put-in-Bay, Ottawa County, Oh 8-4-1903.

Their father was Charles Henry Pile who was born in Phila, Pa 8-15-1862 and died in Phila, Pa 7-31-1941. Their mother was Hattie Lillian Howard who was born in Odgensburg, St Lawrence County, NY 8-27-1862 and died in Chicago, Cook County, IL 12-31-1944. Charles and Hattie were married 6-9-1886 in Sharonville, Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH.

Hattie's father was Porter Howard who was born in NY and her mother's first name was Sarah. Hattie, her sister Charlotte and her brother George all graduated from the University of Cincinnati in the 1880's.

Charles Henry Pile's father was Joseph Morgan Pile who was born in Phila 11-13-1837 and died in Phila 10-19-1899. His mother was Marion Willis Reynolds who was born in Phila 7-30-1839 and died in Phila 10-17-1895. They were married 10-30-1861 in Phila. His brothers were Frederick Morgan Pile and Wilson Worrell Pile.

I have more information on the Piles, but no more on the Howards.
