I think the William Pile you are looking for is actually William Pile III, son of William Pile and Margaret Wright, born 1756, Prince George, Maryland. He married Lucretia Gant Keys. They had 10 children. He died Dec 28,1815 in Montgomery, KY. Burried on the parcel of land that was given him by the government for his service during the war. I have more information if you're interested including his headstone (placed later by the DOR. Ed Pile
