I find your posting a coincidence. I am researching James Johnson Family of NC and Fentress Co TN. My James Johnson m. Delia Bennett in NC in 1767. He moved to TN. His son
James 1809-1870 m. Anna Piles and moved via the Oregon Trail to Oregon in 1847. Do you think your John and my James are related. And do you think this is the same Piles family that his son James married into? Looking forward to hearing from you.
