I'm trying to find the parents of William Pyle, born in Jefferson Co. VA (now WV) about 1810, and married to Ann Wade(dau. of Thomas Wade)in 1832 in Frederick Co., VA. Jefferson Co. census list a Stephen Piles and a Robert Piles in 1810, a Samuel Piles, Robert Piles and Stephen Pyles in 1820, a Stephen Piles in 1830, a William Pile in 1840 and then William Pyle, Pyles or Piles -same person - in Clarke County VA in 1850 to 1880. I can't link him to any of the Pyle families who went through this area on their way to other places. I haven't been able to locate the Pyle-Pile book, so I don't know if it contains any clues. Hope someone can help! Anne J.
