Hi,
Can anyone tell me if this Joseph Van Meter Pile had a son named Richard C. that married Elmina Breckenridge in KY?
Richard C. PILE age 27, with Elmina are in the 1870 Graves County KY Census, and the only possible other household I've found in KY that might be his father the household of J.V. PYLES with a Mary in 1860, Graves Co. KY, with Jane, Elizabeth, Richard (age 17), Susan, John, Christopher, Ferdinan, & Benjamin.
If this is the right family, I'd love to have additions/corrections and photos.

Thanks for all the postings here.

Thanks, Brett. You can contact me directly through my e-mail at Kybranch@aol.com. Living here in Louisville, I am close enough to visit Washington County whenever I want. I may have exhausted all resources at the courthouse though. On your ancestor Samuel R. Pile, I have seen his middle name given as Richard. Have you any knowledge of this ? I had always assumed it was Roberts after his mother's father,
Samuel Roberts. I know that Joseph Van Meter Pile was named for Henry Van Meter's son Joseph. Also I have pictures of Benjamin Pile, Jr., Joseph V. Pile, John R. Pile and Susan Pile Wright Berry. I can scan them and send them to you if you like. In Dr. Richard Pile's will of 1731, he mentions monies owed to him in England. Do you suppose his estate settlement might mention if these monies were ever received. I would be curious to know. You might want to research this matter since you are so close.
