Check Rootsweb.com for Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild -- Barque Sterling. Lists their passage to America in 1831 from Newton St. Loe. They settled near Pendleton, SC. They and descendants buried at Old Stone Church, near Clemson & Pendleton. Many other relatives in the area. Whitten-Pike reunion coming up 1st Sunday in Aug. in Clemson. I am descended from their daughter Alice Cecilia Pike Whitten, for whom I'm named. Can put you in touch with others with more information.
